Official: Moscow stands for partnership of Russia, EU

MOSCOW, Nov 20 (PRIME) -- Moscow stands for maintaining partnership between it and the E.U. because it is mutual interest, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said in a conference on Friday.

“We are sure that mutually beneficial work of entrepreneurs remains one of the key elements to ensure stability and good neighborly relations in the north of Europe,” he said.

“It is of utmost importance now, because serious efforts are undertaken to weaken, to split the big Europe, to return it to the state of cold peace, undermine the partnership between Russia and the E.U. that had been built for decades as global competition strengthens. We think that our mutual interest is not only to keep the partnership, but move it forward as well.”
